Ret Paladin damage WTF - 2s with Chocbear

So i heard you like ret burst with cooldowns?

This video was alot of fun to make because of alot of things...  The main one being we can almost 2 shot people in a HOJ or Throwdown with our combined damage plus the fact choc has bonelink fetish our cleave was awsome as well.
Our plan was to get somone to trinket and in the case of disc teams pain sup and make a quick switch onto the other player forcing both to be low (You can see this perfect in the games vs war and rogue disc). We ended up with a win loss like 10-2 with 2 disconnect/lag losses as i was having net problems.
Then again me and choc have played together for a long time and we actualy took this comp to 2.4k mmr in past seasons in 2s so whenever i play with him we both expect to do kinda decent (Older fans might remeber him from my first videos).

Well yes chocs damage with cooldowns is pretty insane and i do also agree ret damage at times can be a little fucked up. It's mainly because of the Wings/Guardian/Trinket combo used every 5 mins for burst which is like 20percent more damage 20percent str and 2.4k str + 30percent from his inquisition which if they were used on their own the damage would be mediocre but if stacked it's almost like a full vengeance warrior going reckmode with their shield slams.

They also heal so much and own in 3v3

Well lets be honest they don't actualy own in 3s they are pretty much confined to triple dps atm and in that comp they are mainly there for a small amount of damage but their main job is to chuck lay of hands like word of glorys about.

Thing is in a normal comp they actualy arn't that good and outside of guardian/wings are close to useless (Chocbear plays ret disc mage at 2.4-5k atm) and i have played ret war sham to 2.7 with him and i agree they arn't nearly as overpowerd as people make out. Once they have blown them cooldowns they are crazy squishy and a RMP or RLS will basically one shot your ret or make him bubble in the first minutes of a game. Yes even with his 100k word of glorys, also remeber rets do not have a snare which has been their curse for so many seasons the fact they actualy can't get onto a player without somone there to debuff them with a snare is a serious problem still and will be untill MOP is out (You can spec into it in MOP).
